 Timeliness of information
 
  Case information includes all data entry completed by close of
   business the previous day.

  Short Calendars are generally available on Monday mornings
   after 6:00 a.m. 

 Short Calendars

   Contains a list of cases scheduled for a hearing because a judge
   or magistrate has been request
ed, or is required to hear a motion
   or objection.  Short calendar sessions are generally heard in each
   judicial district and geographical area, once per week.   

   Court Date    - The date on which a case is scheduled for hearing.

    Cal Type      -  DC = Dormancy (Docket Management) Short Calendar     
                              FM =  Family Magistrate
                              SC = Short Calendar

    Case Name - Usually the plaintiff versus defendant

    Docket 
    Number
    
 - A unique number assigned to a case by the Court
                            Clerk.  Each docket number starts with two letters 
                            that tell the type of case.  For example:  CV = civil;
                            FA = family; SC = small claims.  The next two numbers
                            represent the year the case was filed, followed by the
                            seven digit docket number.  Every civil or family case
                            ends with the letter "S."  
The Docket Number must be
                            used on all future papers filed in the court case.

   Location       - The city/town where the court is located for a case.

   Cal-Seq. No - The calendar number is before the dash, followed by
                             the sequence number of that case on that calendar.

   Entry No      - A unique sequence number assigned by the court for
                            each motion or pleading for a case.

   Motion
   Objection 
   
 - The motion/objection for the particular calendar entry.


 Attorney / Firm Inquiry

   This inquiry can be used to determine a Juris number by entering 
   an attorney's name.  The inquiry also displays the address of the
   attorney.

 Assignment Lists

   An Assignment List is a list of cases
ready to be assigned for trial.
   Cases stay on the Assignment List until the case is disposed of or 
   moved to a different calendar.

   Court Date    - The date on which a case is scheduled for hearing.

    Cal. No .        - The specific calendar for the case.

    List Type      - AA = Admin. Appeals        CT = Court
                             FC = Family Contested      FD  = Family Diverse
                             FJ = Family Paternity           FL = Family Limited
                             FU = Family Uncontested   HD = Hearing in Damages  
                             JY = Jury

    Seq. No.       - The order in which the cases are printed on the
                            calendar. Cases are usually called by the judge in
                            that sequence order.


    Location      - The city/town where the court is located a case.

  Party Name Inquiry

   You may find a specific case by typing in the last and first name
    of either party in a specific case -- plaintiff or defendant.  The
    last and first names must be separated by a comma.  You may
    also type in the name of a business firm or company. To find a
    case, you can enter a complete name or the part of a name. If
    you are not sure of the proper spelling of a name, you can enter
    partial names.  For example ;
    
         Smith   -or-   Smi   -or-   Smith, S   -or-   Smi, S

 

  Case Detail Screen (with Parties & Motions)

  The Case Detail Screen contains a history of a case including a list of
  parties, attorneys, motions, pleadings, objections filed, and the
  status of each.

  This screen displays case information in three sections:

  1. Case Detail Section

   Case Name    - First named plaintiff  VS.  first named defendant.

    Docket
    Number     
   - A unique number assigned to a case by the Court Clerk.
                              Each docket number starts with two letters that tell the
                              category of case.  Categories are:  CV = civil;
                              FA = family.  The next two numbers  represent the,
                              year the case was filed, followed by the seven digit
                              docket number.  Every civil or family case ends
                              with the letter "S."  
The Docket Number must be
                              used on all future papers filed in the court case.

    File Date        - The date the case was filed.

    ADR Status   - Alternative Dispute Resolution information, if applicable.

    Case Type     - The type of case corresponds with the major and minor
                              case type codes used on the summons.

    Court
    Location  
       - The city/town where the court is located for a case.

    Return Date - Date by which the defendant must file an Appearance

                              with the court. Date used by the court to begin
                             counting case deadlines.

    List Type      - AA = Admin. Appeals         CT = Court
                              FC = Family Contested       FD = Family Diverse
                              FJ = Family Paternity            FL = Family Limited
                              FU = Family Uncontested    HD = Hearing in Damages  
                             JY = Jury

    Disposition
    Date  
            
- The date the court entered judgement, dismissed the

                             case, or the case was withdrawn.

    Judge/
    Magistrate
   
- The Judge or Magistrate that ruled on the disposition.

   Disposition - A description of the disposition ruling.

 2. Parties / Attorneys Section

   Party Name/
    Address  
        - The name and address of the party.  Party address will
                               display only if the party has filed a Self-Represented Party appearance.

    Attorney
    Information
   - The name, juris number,  address, and telephone number
                                (if available) of the attorney representing the party.

    Party
    Number           - The number of the party.  Plaintiffs are assigned
                               numbers 1 - 49.  Defendants are assigned numbers 50 - 99.
 
         

    Plaintiff/
    Defendant       - 'P' indicates party is a plaintiff, 'D' indicates party is a  defendant.  

    Self-Represented Party              - 'Y' indicates the party is a Self-Represented Party.

    Non
    Appearance     - Indicates Party has not filed an Appearance with the court.   

 3.  Motions / Pleadings / Objections Section

    Entry
   Number           - An identifying number assigned to each document or activity
                                by the Clerk's Office.

    Entry
    Date
               - The date the motion/pleading, etc. was filed.

    Description      - The description of the motion, pleading, or objection.

                                 Corresponds with the docket legend codes used by the court.  

    Initiated By     - Who filed the document or took the action in the case.

    Arguable         - Whether or not the motion or objection can be argued
